I know it sounds so unbelievably cliche, but as hard you might try to fight it, there just IS something about a changing calendar year that makes you sit back, and reflect on the past year. Maybe it’s just the time off at Christmas that allows you a moment to breathe.
I don’t know. But whatever it is, it happens. And this year, it happened to me.
As I had time to review 2009, and I thought about what moments brought me the most joy and the most satisfaction, I noticed two types of sessions emerge…
The first…Maternity/Newborns Sessions

and the second…Weddings?!

For those who have been “with me” since the beginning, you might fall off your chair upon hearing “weddings.” I was, after all, the only photographer I knew who swore weddings off – “bring me the babies, not the brides” was my motto!
When I gave it some more thought, it began to make sense why I was drawn to these 2 session types. Both are emotional, incredible times. They truly are MOMENTOUS occasions in your life.

They are the things you dream about, and when they happen, it all happens so fast you hardly have time to take it all in.

And that’s where I get to help. I am given the privilege of recording these moments.

The photographs themselves are special, but when they are put together in a custom album, they are no longer just photographs. They are stories. Your story.
And what an honour it is help tell it.
