A little about me; the prairie child behind Prairie Child.

I grew up in the small town of Esterhazy, Saskatchewan. You may have heard of it - our claim to fame being the Potash capital of the world (What is potash you ask? It’s a pinkish rock that's salty if you lick it - but I don't think that is the main purpose of mining it!)

The most influential people in my world have been, and will always be, my family. They were the reason I first became interested in helping other people capture their special moments.

Most of us talk about getting our family portraits done…and then, life gets busy. One of my biggest regrets is not getting a “4 Generations of Women” photo taken at Christmas two years ago. My grandmother passed away a few months later.

I encourage you to take the time to book a session soon. Our children grow up. We get older. Loved ones move on. But our photos, our priceless reminders of who we are and where we come, last forever.

You can be assured, when you come for a session, there will be lots of laughter (occasional tears), and fun, spontaneous moments. That's what helps capture your true family.

By the way, if you are in any way fanatical about special effects, perfect lighting, the latest “posing,” stop reading this right now – I am NOT the photographer for you.

What I offer is an incredibly fun experience that will result in photographs you will LOVE. Period.

I look forward to helping preserve the next special moment of time with your family.
