Let’s see…here’s a few things that make me, me!
I laugh a lot. My laugh is really loud.
I have woken babies up with my laugh (I can’t help it – it just escapes!)
I love my family. They are awesome.
I would have picked them if they hadn’t already been picked for me.
I welcomed my sweet daughter into the world this summer. I had no idea just how big my heart could grow.
I like to play. I think playing is important.
So is not taking life nor yourself too seriously.
I am scared of the dark. Really, truly scared.
I should have listened to my mom when she told me not to watch scary movies.
I connect with kids. They connect with me.
I think it is because I like to play and I’m scared of the dark too.
I love when people cry the first time they see their photos.
Yes…that’s me. I’m a small town girl from Esterhazy, Saskatchewan. I’ve been a nanny in Spain. I’ve picked lemons in Australia. I’ve served coffee at 35,000 feet. I’ve sailed the Bahamas with Captain Hook and Tinkerbell (really!) Now, I’ve settled down in Kamloops, BC.
I’ve had some “interesting” jobs…but nothing, and I mean NOTHING, comes close to the thrill of knowing that the moments I get to capture today, are going to become someone’s family history tomorrow. And THAT is what drew me to, and keeps me hooked on photography.
I believe photographs are one of the most important gifts you can leave your family.
They are the visual guides we use to remember our stories…things like…
* what it felt like to be pregnant with your first child
* how your newborn fit perfectly into the crook of your arm
* the way your child would scrunch up their nose when they burst into laughter
All these little details get woven together to create your family history. But these details can fade.
That’s when we look to our photos, which quietly remind us of these forgotten moments.
And our albums become more than just photos…they become our family story. A story that will told to your children. And your grandchildren. And your great-grandchildren.
So I encourage you to book your session soon. Our children grow up, loved ones move on. But our photos, our priceless reminders of who we are and where we come from, will be there forever.
It was nice to ‘meet’ you!
