FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Who is this course designed for?
A: Beginners!  If you’ve never been in a studio (or even owned an SLR camera), this is the perfect starting place!  Get a crash course to see if this is something you want to pursue before investing the big bucks in studio equipment!

Q: I’m not a beginner, can I still register?
A: It depends.  If you are a seasoned photographer but new to studio lighting, absolutely!  If you have experience in the studio, I recommend finding a different workshop aimed for your skill level. The reason is two-fold:

1. You will already know much of what is going to be covered, so you won’t find it the best value for your money

2. I want to ensure this is a safe learning environment for absolute beginners, and the best way to ensure this, it to keep it open to beginners-only.

Q: I don’t own an SLR camera. Can I still register?
A: Absolutely!  You don’t have to own a SLR camera – but if you have one, bring it!

Q: Will you be teaching photoshop in this course?
A:  No.  That, my friends, is an BIG workshop on its own. This bootcamp deals specifically with lighting.  Other workshops will be available for topics such as photoshop, posing techniques for newborns and maternity sessions, marketing your business, and more.  If you are interested in one of these topics, please let me know and I will notify you when a session is scheduled.

Q: Are you really qualified to teach a bootcamp?
A: Academically speaking…uh…no. What I am sharing with you isn’t lighting theories taught at schools or perfect formulas.  I am sharing what I do in the studio to get the results I achieve.  I’m assuming if you are registering for the course, you have seen my work, and enjoy that style of lighting.  If you don’t…this probably isn’t the best workshop for you!
